The Journey Outpost was born out of one family's desire to encourage and equip other families in their homeschooling journey. Currently, we offer a lending library and a bookstore in addition to classes and trips for students and parents.
April Nourse is excited about the journey she shares with her family. After several years as a public school teacher and parent, April knew that she could better meet the needs of her children by bringing them home. April expected that educating her four very different children would be a mixed bag of struggles and successes, but over the years she has learned that having a strong support system and great curriculum make the days a little easier. She shares about her journey at homeschool conferences and on her blog.
Andrew Nourse has a passion for exploring everything around him. As a dad, he values sharing his experiences with his children and those around him. Whether it's history, mechanics or nature, Andrew likes to know why things happen and how it all works together. Come along as he journeys through God's great world.
Annie Nourse is just getting started on her journey, but sign language has been a part of it from the time she was a baby and she learned to sign "more please." What started out as a hobby has progressed into something that she plans to use throughout her life. In addition to teaching students of all ages, Annie also interprets for audiences.
The entire family maintains our library and bookstore and always welcome you to shop, borrow or share resources.
